Coverage
Geomembrane liner suppliers across the UAE
Sheet delivered and welding crews mobilised to every emirate. Local pages cover the ground conditions, the works we see most often, and the gauges usually specified in each area.
One supply chain, seven emirates
Distances in the UAE are short enough that a single stockholding serves the whole country, and long enough that scheduling matters. A delivery to Dubai Industrial City is a different proposition from a delivery to a farm outside Sweihan or a quarry road in Fujairah, and the difference shows up in the mobilisation line of a quotation rather than in the sheet price.
What does change by emirate is the work itself. Abu Dhabi and Al Ain send us reservoir and irrigation projects. Dubai and Sharjah send industrial containment, landscape lakes and TSE storage. The northern emirates send quarry water management and aquaculture. Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah bring rock subgrades that almost always need a cushion geotextile underneath the membrane.
Containment is a small trade here and the supply chain overlaps. For wider coverage of the sector and the products moving through it, geomembrane UAE is a useful second reference alongside these pages.
Delivery, and what actually decides the lead time
Stock gauges — 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm smooth sheet in 7 metre rolls — normally leave within a day of a confirmed order, anywhere in the country. What extends a lead time is rarely distance. It is a non-stock gauge, textured sheet, a white-surfaced or coloured requirement, or a quantity large enough to need a production run rather than a pick from stock. If your programme is tight, say so at enquiry stage and the answer will be honest about which of those applies.
Site access matters more than most buyers expect. A full roll of 1.5 mm sheet at 7 metres wide is heavy enough to need a telehandler or a crane at the crest, and there is no useful way to move it by hand. Where access is genuinely restricted — a courtyard basin, a tank inside a building, a rooftop tank — the sheet is cut to shorter panels at the yard and prefabricated where it makes sense, which costs a little more in welding and saves a great deal in site frustration.
Ground conditions change more than the map suggests
An hour of driving in this country can take you from dune sand to sabkha to wadi gravel. That single fact drives most of what differs between our local pages. Dune sand is close to an ideal surface for a geomembrane: grade it, compact it, pick out the debris and the sheet can go straight down. Sabkha near the coast brings a high water table, and the design question shifts from seepage out to uplift underneath, which is answered with relief venting rather than a thicker sheet. Wadi gravel and crushed rock inland and on the east coast make a cushion geotextile part of the design rather than an upgrade.
What to send with an enquiry
- Emirate and nearest town, so delivery and mobilisation can be priced
- Basin dimensions and side-slope angle, or a drawing
- What the basin will hold, and how deep
- Whether the liner stays exposed or gets covered
- Your programme dates
That is enough for a take-off and a price. Anything missing, we will ask.
